Cinnamon showcases T. G. Shand’s evolution as an artist. Written and produced by Annemarie Duff (Miniatures), the EP features five tracks that have been developed over the past three years. Building on the success of her previous releases, T. G. Shand’s Cinnamon EP elevates her signature dreamy sound to new heights. Mastered by Bevan Smith, the EP takes listeners on a journey filled with unforgettable melodies and evocative lyrics.

Lead track, Cinnamon, stands out as a quirky and driving tune that showcases T. G. Shand’s sugary vocals, leaving a lasting impression on listeners. With the rest of the EP featuring a range of musical experiences, from the intro track that evokes a floating sensation to some heavier shoegaze numbers and a captivating electronic closing track.

Following the EP release, T. G. Shand will unveil the music video for her beloved single Fatwood on Friday 11th August. Produced with the support of NZ On Air’s NewMusic Video Funding and with art direction by the talented Thomas Russell, the video promises to be a visual treat that perfectly complements the mesmerizing sounds of the track. Since its initial release earlier this year, the EP version now features re-tracked drums from the talented Cory Champion, engineered by Bevan Smith.

Based in Christchurch, New Zealand, T. G. Shand has gained steady traction since her debut festival performance at Nest Fest 2021, with a series of successful releases that have earned her editorial playlisting, industry funding and chart topping positions across New Zealand’s Student Radio Network. After the EP’s release, T. G. Shand and her band will be returning to the stage from August onwards.

Cinnamon will be available on all major digital platforms and as a limited edition 10″ mono lathe-cut vinyl, offered exclusively on Bandcamp and at selected record stores.
