Aron & The Jeri Jeri Band Release ‘Mama Djuma’ EP
Musicians Aron Ottignon and Bahkane Seck proudly present their latest EP, Mama Djuma, featuring vocal talents Toufa Mbaye and Aïcha Niang.
Named after Bakane’s mother and daughter, the EP is a heartfelt tribute to the universal bond between mothers and daughters.
The title track Mama Djuma, sung by Toufa Mbaye, explores the depth of this relationship, capturing maternal love and strength. In The Return Of The Golden Egg, Ottignon seamlessly blends jazz, funk, and West African influences. Toufa Mbaye’s soulful voice melds with the music, showcasing the EP’s cultural diversity.
The EP also includes Efe Echo, an improvisational gem born from a spontaneous session with Aron and Aïcha Niang. Aïcha’s vocals infuse modernity into ancient traditions, creating a captivating listening experience, highlighting the artists’ creative synergy.
