Zananeh (Grey Dust) is the new single from goth rock project Black Velvet Butterfly, the brain child of New Zealand songwriter James Castady-Kristament (JCK, Real Gods Are Blue, Dumb Dumb Head).

Zananeh (Grey Dust) is the name for the drones that continuously fly over the heads of Palestinians in Gaza.

James says, “Injustice has always been a trigger for me and the Gaza situation has been on my mind constantly since October 7. I use songwriting as a way to process things in my life and Zananeh (grey dust) is my way of coming to terms with the horrors we’ve been witnessing in Gaza.”
