Nz Shoegaze Outfit Libbianski Release Phenomenal Debut Record 'useless Splendour'

Since breaking onto the scene in 2023, Libbianski have been bringing a modern touch to a much beloved 90’s sound taking inspirations from shoegaze, noise rock and dream pop alike. Originally conceived as a side project from Kurt Williams (Tuscoma, Hollywoodfun Downstairs), Libbianski began as a collection of songs that Kurt had spent years working on in between extensive tours across Europe and New Zealand. Finally Kurt decided to flesh out the project and establish a fully-fledged band recruiting members from the local music scene which eventually formed to be Libbianski. The band have released their debut album Useless Splendour, which is every bit as excellent as we could’ve expected.

Throughout 2022 and 2023, Libbianski worked on their debut album and performed across the North Island before recording the album in The Armoury Studio by international record producer Troy Kelly. The album was then mixed by Chris Johnson (Deafheaven) at The Electric Bunker and mastered by Alan Douches in New York at West West Side Music.

After releasing Useless Splendour in April, The band have booked a tour across the North Island and South Island of New Zealand throughout August with music videos and live performances continuously being worked on and released in the lead up. Make sure to follow the band across all social platforms to stay up to date.
